The second week of “Farmen” is over, and in Sunday’s episode, Sanna Khursheed had to leave the farm, after losing the duel in sawing against Inger Cecilie Grønnerød (47). Khursheed does not hide the fact that it was very difficult for him to travel home.

– You “faint” a bit in such a situation. I had a lump in my neck the week before and it hurt a lot, but it’s often about not thinking about the negative. I just thought that I should get up and not give up. I felt like I was trying my best and didn’t say a word when I left, because I was so broken. Really broken. I wanted to be there and I thought it was sad. I had a fantastic experience and learned a lot about many things, he tells VG.

It was on Wednesday that the 32-year-old was chosen as the first champion by the great farmer Nils Kvalvik (39), who justified the decision by saying that she produced little, but at the same time consumed a lot. The repatriated participant of “Farmen” does not give much importance to it.

– He was very cursed, his reasoning was completely ridiculous – although this is a game. When I get angry, tears flow quickly if I can’t find the right words. There and then I got a little excited, especially when I saw the reaction of the other participants. Some cried and cried, while others came up and hugged me. I had to hold back a bit.

Khursheed has spent a lot of time in front of television in his two weeks on the farm. However, during the first fall match last Sunday, she was not present after suffering a sprained neck. She is not happy with the way she has been portrayed and believes that TV 2 has deliberately portrayed her as a crybaby and has made her a character that fits her image.

– It seems. You have the mother, the father, the spiritual. Those who can fall in love, the macho. Then you have one who laughs when the nail breaks. The last one is probably me, and that’s how they want to portray me. I think it’s very sad, because it’s not me at all. I complain, I complain and I laugh. My loved ones are completely surprised when they see it. This is not me. TV 2 almost has to answer why they chose to portray me like this.

She adds:

– But I have to keep in mind that I’m on a reality show. They have to do television.

– So how do you think you really are?

– I have more pages than this. I’m not saying I’m not vulnerable, in fact I think it’s important to show that you have feelings. The “farm” is intense, you are in a bubble with 13 different personalities. You have to find your place, and I think many in society can recognize themselves in it, because what we ultimately want is to find our place. There I also had good experiences, which do not come to light. It’s sad.

She believes there were a number of reasons why the 32-year-old showed a lot of emotions inside the farm.

– It was a mixture of the people who were part of “La Granja”, I don’t think they were very receptive. And then it has something to do with myself, I wasn’t feeling very good mentally before the recording started. Mom and Dad were stuck in Pakistan because of the crown situation. I was terrified of them, and it’s up to you. Also, I had just moved to a new city: Oslo. A lot has happened in 2020, says Khursheed, who in addition to his job as a graduate economist, takes remedial assignments and holds makeup courses and lectures.

– What do you mean that people were not so receptive?

– Many things happened there and that made things difficult. I tried to distance myself when something negative came up. He didn’t want to deal with backbiting and nonsense. If we had a problem, I would bring it up in plenary, but not many people thought it was that fun. They thought it created a bad mood. But I think that’s for the best. Finish it so it doesn’t end in backbiting. This is how it was there.

– So what problems did you raise?

– You may not mean problems, but challenges. I experienced that they did not listen to me, they put me on various projects, without completing them. I also deprived myself of projects. Then I announced in plenary that I didn’t want to go straight to the farmer and flatter, as many did. It put me in a bad mood, I think I heard it was a “burden”.

This, according to herself, has led her to not want to see anything else in the program in which she participates.

– It’s strange to see yourself on TV. Everyone should have an opinion on you, from your lips to your appearance. I want to distance myself from that and everything that is around right now. So I think I can see “Farme” with a completely different view. Right now I just have to focus on myself and feel good. I have to save energy for my work and help other people.

– Do you regret that they joined “The Farm”?

– No, I don’t regret it. It is an experience that I would never have missed. In that sense, it has been fantastic. I think everyone needs a “detox” like this, he tells VG.

TV 2 press manager Jan-Petter Dahl is aware that when “The Farm” is cut, the goal is always to reproduce what has happened on the farm as accurately as possible.

– We shoot about 40 minutes for every minute we spend on the show, so it goes without saying that much of what happens on the farm never makes it to television. We believe that Sanna has been given an important place in the programs, especially since there were also 13 other participants with her on the farm. We have shown that she is interested in farm life and that she has tried her hand at many different tasks.
