(Leicester 0-3 West Ham) West Ham continued to impress without manager David Moyes on the bench as they ruined Leicester’s ability to set a new club record.
Leicester have had a good start to the season in the Premier League, and before the West Ham encounter they had won three out of three possible. With a win over West Ham, Leicester would have set a club record by winning the first four league matches in the Premier League.
But they could look far beyond that record.
Leicester were toothless from start to finish and failed to put pressure on the West Ham cage guarded by Lukasz Fabianksi. In fact, Leicester failed to get a single shot on goal.
Yet West Ham did it, and bravely.

14 minutes into the game, Aaron Cresswell came within a hair of putting his team ahead, but his fierce shot from the left wing skimmed the strain of the post. There, Michail Antonio had run free, and from very close he directed the ball to the far corner with his head.
And Cresswell would stand out again. 20 minutes later, he hit the ball in the back room. And there were four Leicester players who still hadn’t woken up from the alarm that had been set. Not even sleep had gotten them out of bed.
Pablo Fornals took the ball with him and only with Kasper Schmeichel scored the second goal for West Ham.
Thus, West Ham led 2-0 at halftime against Leicester. And that’s without manager David Moyes looking for a positive coronate test. He was also out in the previous round of the series where West Ham impressed with a 4-0 win over Wolverhampton.
After the break, they were still the home team with the most ball, but once again the blue team failed to create scoring chances. After 83 minutes, Jarrod Bowen put in a new goal for West Ham which thus won 3-0 over Leicester.
