I love you less – NRK

– It’s absolutely fantastic to be back with new music, says Martinus.

Today they released the song “Love You Less”, which according to the brothers is about a girl who cannot decide what she feels, and thinks that the grass is greener on the other side.

– And as we sing along to the song, we will never love it less whatever happens, says Marcus.

Since then, Marcus and Martinus have come of age and have finally grown into adults. It also shows in music.

– It’s a step older, but we still have the same positive energy. We try to be ourselves, even if we go one step further.

When they switch to “adult music,” they also have to compete against all the other pop artists out there.

– It’s getting more difficult. Because now that we take the step as adult artists, we are fighting against the best in the world. But we hope to bring the fans we already have with us, while also getting some new ones on the journey we undertake.

Three hours after the music video was posted on YouTube today, it reached 66,000 views and 1,674 comments.

Took Norway and Europe by storm

It’s been a few years since the Trofors twins in Helgeland took the country by storm with the self-written song “Two drops of water” when they won MGPjr in 2012.

Along the way, they have been described as one of the biggest pop phenomena Scandinavia has seen in several years.

Now they are the most popular pair of twins in Norway, billing millions and selling all over Europe. They are known for hits like “Electric”, “Girls” and “Heartbeat”.

In 2017, they sold 12,000 tickets to the Stockholm Globe in less than a quarter of an hour. In the same year, NRK and Avisa Nordland also named them Nordlending of the Year.

Now there are books and movies about them, the documentary “Together on the dream”.

– Great to get the note

In February of this year they also reached a personal milestone: the 18th anniversary. The same day they both took the note.

And there will be a lot of car driving at the Trofors home site, with around 800 residents.

– You really need a car wherever you go, so it’s great to have the note now, says Martinus.

– And then it’s a great feeling of freedom to be able to sit in the car and drive a little by yourself.

– Have they become thieves now?

– Hehe, well, not quite.

– But on weekends we drive to Mosjøen, where there is something else. We drive a little and have fun with friends, says Marcus.

Looking forward to a tour next year

Lately, the twins, like most of us, have been more at home than usual due to the corona pandemic.

– It was a bit special, says Martinus.

– No, more boring. We have been at home waiting for them to tell us if we can travel or not. Because we had prepared for a tour in 2020, which we wanted to continue.

– But we’ve kept everything going anyway. We have had singing lessons several times a week, we have rehearsed with instruments, and of course we are still in school.

The additional plan for the twins is to create more new music in the future and a new tour attempt in 2021.

– Actually, we should have been on tour right now, but it’s nice to have been more at home with friends and family.

– We have been home for several months now. I can’t remember the last time we were home for so long, says Marcus.

– Yes, we have tried normal life a little more, says Martinus.

NRK joined in the celebration when Marcus & Martinus turned 18 earlier this year. See the cake party here.
