MOELV (Dagbladet): It was the missing person on a caretaker assignment who was first found dead after the great fire in Moelv on Wednesday morning.
The identity will be confirmed in the preliminary autopsy report on Friday afternoon, the Innlandet police district reports without providing further information or commenting on the cause of death.
When questioned by Dagbladet, police attorney Sten Floor Nelson confirms that the identified dead is a man in his 40s from Gjøvik. Family members were informed early.
The man believed to be the second victim is also a man in his 40s from Gjøvik.
The sleeping man on the mountain
At the same time, the police prosecutor claims that a third man was awakened by firefighters and rescued from the flames, which extended 200 meters long below and above the roof of the 19,000 square meter building.
– He slept in a small apartment at the end of the building that was completely damaged, Sten Floor Nelson tells Dagbladet.
The autopsy report of the man who was found dead in the commercial building Thursday night, more than a day and a half after the fire at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, was not ready Friday.

The large commercial building, which in Moelv is called Sentralen, has been owned since 2014 by investors Hans Bernhard Falk jr. and Klaus Bratlie in Gjøvik through GMM Eiendom.

Two reasons for a criminal case
Police attorney Sten Floor Nelson has no comment on the “causal connection” statement.
– Why has there been a criminal case with Kripos involved?
– For two reasons: the cause of the fire is unknown. And it was a complete surprise to the police and firefighters that another person was found dead in the ruins of the fire. Kripos has been at the scene of the fire with two dogs that are extremely good at sniffing out blood and human remains.
