A dentist has been sentenced to five years in prison for the repeated rapes of his partner while on drugs.
The crimes began in 2014 and lasted until 2019, writes TV 2.
Then the partner confronted the man with two syringes that he had found in his house. Soon after, the man went to the police and admitted everything.
The man underwent smaller doses of the anesthetic midazolam from the dentist’s office where he worked, and took the drug in his cohabiter’s glass of wine and cola. On one occasion, he also took two Rohypnol pills that he used with his roommate.
The man himself estimated that he committed “perhaps 50” violations of his partner, while the court finds it proven that he committed at least 30 violations.
The man received a penalty discount for helping to solve the case himself.
In addition to the prison sentence, he must pay the partner 180,000 kronor in restitution.
According to TV 2, the man has accepted the verdict and, therefore, it is final.
