– Trump is going to tear Biden to pieces – VG

CLEVELAND, OHIO (VG) Dennis Hodges (50) has driven from Dallas, Texas to sell Trump effects in Cleveland ahead of the first presidential debate this year. Believe in “a bloodbath.”

– I think Trump will bite Biden and he won’t let him go. It will tear it to pieces. It will be a bloodbath, Hodges says when VG meets him in the streets, where the two presidential candidates are holding the first of three presidential debates tonight.

VG experts have also spoken of believing in an aggressive debate with a high level of conflict.

Usually during these debates, which are usually held in universities, there are crowds of people and events that show their support for the two who will meet on stage.

This year is different because of the coronation situation. In the morning hours, local time, silence reigned in the streets around the debate room.

Around midnight Norwegian time, three hours before the debate starts, a few more people start showing their support for their candidate.

There are a lot of police in the debating arena and the National Guard is also in place. Several streets are also blocked for security reasons.

Only a handful of people had come forward to show their support for one of the candidates. Dennis Hodges was one of them.

– I don’t think Biden has a chance. He’s not in his full five. “I think he’s taking drugs to deal with these things,” he said, echoing the allegations that Donald Trump has repeatedly made without any evidence.

The Biden campaign has also denied it.

The evening’s debate can be seen on VGTV from 3 am.

On Wednesday morning there will be a broadcast with highlights and reactions from both Ohio voters and experts. Also, VG commentators are rolling the dice on the “Giæver og gjengen” podcast.

Blame Trump for the crown crisis

Surgeon Susan Stephens also walks the streets, hauling a cart with skeletons and a sign that speaks of more than 200,000 Americans killed in corona. She says she wants to show how badly she thinks the president has handled the virus.

– There didn’t have to be so many dead. It’s entirely his fault that this is the case, she says.

Stephens says his expectation for the debate is that “Trump will show his true self,” and that people will realize that the crown’s situation will not improve if Trump is re-elected.

– And then I hope Biden proves who he is. A man of character who cares about people and who cares for the 200,000 who have lost their lives.

Debbie Clawson (60) also supports Biden. He hopes he can show that he is not crazy, as he likes to portray Trump.

– I’m not so afraid that Trump will dominate the debate too much. Biden is confident in himself, so I think he’ll do well, she says.

Not surprised by the tax case

When asked what she thinks of the recent New York Times revelation that Trump has barely paid federal income tax for the past 15 years, she responds that she is not at all surprised.

– If he had nothing to hide, he would have shown his tax papers a long time ago, she says.

Trump calls it all “fake news” and claims he pays taxes. For several years he has said that he will file the tax return as soon as it is no longer under the audit of the tax authorities. Critics say it’s an excuse that’s not good enough, pointing out that in any case, it could only show exactly the piece that shows what you’ve paid in taxes.

Joe Biden shared his tax numbers today.

Dennis Hodges, for his part, believes the president deserves to pay less in taxes.

– A president who donates his salary, something he had never heard anyone do before, deserves tax breaks, is his comment.

That, despite most of the years the New York Times has gone through, is before he became president.

Blame it on China

Outside the press center in Cleveland, 78-year-old Robert Kunst of Florida has sat strategically with his posters, one saying that Hillary Clinton was a disaster, but that Joe Biden is even worse.

Throughout the day, he has received a lot of media attention as almost all journalists pass by. Its location is not a coincidence. He tells VG that he has been to 185 different Trump events in the last five years.

Now he is cursed with people like Susan Stephens, who blame the president for so many people losing their lives to the coronavirus.

– It is China that is behind. This is their fault, he believes, and expresses that the Democrats are playing dirty to put the blame on Trump.

– I think he will win the election anyway, but I am nervous because they are doing so much mischief, says Kunst, who claims that he is a registered Democrat but has not voted for any of his presidential candidates since Bill Clinton in the 1990s.
