CLEVELAND, OHIO (VG) Dennis Hodges (50) has driven from Dallas, Texas to sell Trump effects in Cleveland ahead of the first presidential debate this year. Believe in “a bloodbath.”
– I think Trump will bite Biden and he won’t let him go. It will tear it to pieces. It will be a bloodbath, Hodges says when VG meets him in the streets, where the two presidential candidates are holding the first of three presidential debates tonight.

This year is different because of the coronation situation. In the morning hours, local time, silence reigned in the streets around the debate room.
Around midnight Norwegian time, three hours before the debate starts, a few more people start showing their support for their candidate.
There are a lot of police in the debating arena and the National Guard is also in place. Several streets are also blocked for security reasons.

Only a handful of people had come forward to show their support for one of the candidates. Dennis Hodges was one of them.
– I don’t think Biden has a chance. He’s not in his full five. “I think he’s taking drugs to deal with these things,” he said, echoing the allegations that Donald Trump has repeatedly made without any evidence.
The Biden campaign has also denied it.

Debbie Clawson (60) also supports Biden. He hopes he can show that he is not crazy, as he likes to portray Trump.
– I’m not so afraid that Trump will dominate the debate too much. Biden is confident in himself, so I think he’ll do well, she says.

Not surprised by the tax case
When asked what she thinks of the recent New York Times revelation that Trump has barely paid federal income tax for the past 15 years, she responds that she is not at all surprised.
– If he had nothing to hide, he would have shown his tax papers a long time ago, she says.
Trump calls it all “fake news” and claims he pays taxes. For several years he has said that he will file the tax return as soon as it is no longer under the audit of the tax authorities. Critics say it’s an excuse that’s not good enough, pointing out that in any case, it could only show exactly the piece that shows what you’ve paid in taxes.

Dennis Hodges, for his part, believes the president deserves to pay less in taxes.
