After the storm completely hit the outer part of Lofoten, the storm hit Troms on Wednesday night.
Wednesday night is 1754 Homes without electricity in Troms, writes NRK. The power outage affects Målselv, Salangen, Senja and Sørreisa in Indre and Midt-Troms.
On Wednesday, an orange warning was sent for Vesterålen and a full storm warning for Lofoten and parts of Troms, with gusts of between 35 and 40 meters per second.
Now the storm has started, the meteorologist on duty at the Meteorological Institute, John Austrheim tells VG on Wednesday afternoon.
First, the storm hit Lofoten, where steps were taken this afternoon to deal with the storm. Buses were canceled and bridges were closed.

Residents should stay indoors, the meteorologist advises:
– In the most affected areas, care must be taken when moving. It can make things fly through the air. You also have to be careful with the sea, the waves are big.
At sea, strong storms lead to unusually high waves, where small and medium-sized boats can disappear into wave valleys for a time, writes Yr.no.
– The storm can quickly have consequences for transport, says Austrheim, and points, among other things, to closed bridges.

Caravan went off the road
In Sørdalen, in the municipality of Sortland, a caravan ran off the road. There were two people in the caravan and one person has a possible broken arm. Both have been transported by ambulance, the Nordland police write. Twitter.
In connection with the accident, the Sigerfjord tunnel will be closed for some time.

Calm down until thursday
The ongoing storm will move rapidly northward and subside overnight, the meteorologist says.
– Then it will increase further north (Vesterålen and Troms). But until tomorrow, practically everything is over.

In a text message to VG, Susan Berg Kristiansen writes, Mayor of Værøy, who has been in the municipality for a short time. He has had a meeting in Leknes and is trying to get back home.
– The helicopter has been canceled, so I spend the night in Bodø and hope it has calmed down until tomorrow morning, says Berg Kristiansen.
