elite series, Soccer | Fagermo kills Start management: – Some of the weakest I’ve seen

Dag-Eilev Fagermo is very unimpressed by the logistics of the southern players in recent years.

The case is being updated

In Sunday’s Eurosport studio, Vålerenga’s coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo is invited. Following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Molde, the manager took the time to visit the licensee to follow the round with the rest of the Eurosport expert body.

The channel went through several matches in round 18 before kickoff. When they reached Start, Fagermo arrived with a clear message to the Elite Series rival.

Sørlendingene recently brought back 36-year-old Christian Bolaños. The Costa Rican last played for Start in 2010 and was brought from Saprissa in his home country.

– It is a signing with which I totally disagree. What Start has been doing in the last few years is probably one of the weakest leadership I’ve seen in Norwegian football, I think Fagermo fired directly on the Start signing.

– Strongly disagree

The statement made host Carsten Skjelbreid very curious.

– Why?

– Because you have burned huge sums and you have not achieved anything. They have dropped and may not even have salable players. Why don’t you get a lot less, but better when you have those resources? This joins the ranks when they select two players approaching retirement age, rather than pick one who has a future and raises eleven. It is a player logistics with which I completely disagree, continued Fagaermo and also refers to Mohamed El Makrini, 33, who recently joined the squad.

– So there is despair of Start?

– It is not strange that there is despair when you lie where you lie, but then you often go down when you make that kind of decision because there is very little quality in the decisions. Like I said, get less, but better.

The Vålerenga coach also believes that he sends bad signals to everyone in and around the Sørland club.

– There are players who would do a stronger job than these here. Then there’s something about the signal effect that you have to bet on the south and your own players. The sum makes me think that they are completely wrong signings, he says.

This is how Start responds

The online newspaper contacted general manager Christopher MacConnacher at Start. Fagermo’s statements were presented to him and he thinks they care little for the Vålerenga coach’s opinions.

– I haven’t thought about that much. What Fagermo thinks matters very little to us. It must be at your expense. We have a sports device that we fully trust. So we answer that it’s okay, MacConnacher tells Nettavisen.

The kick-off plays on Sunday afternoon against Kristiansund at home in Sør-Arena. The match starts at 6:00 p.m. and the two new signings Bolaños and El Makrini kick off the Kickoff match.
