It informs the municipality of Trondheim in a press release Wednesday morning.

Those infected are:

  • An adult, suspected infection site abroad
  • An adult, close contact with the known infected

Both have a mild course of the disease.

On Monday, four people were diagnosed with the coronavirus. Municipal Chief Physician Elizabeth Kimbell later informed Adresseavisen that 40 people had been quarantined as a result of the infection between the four.

The municipality now claims that infection tracking shows that four of the infection cases in the past two days can be linked to each other through close contact. The presumed source of infection for this group of infections is a trip abroad to a yellow country.

Those infected in the infection group are adults between 20 and 30 years of age, and an adult of 60 years.

The infection tracker has identified that BI Norwegian Business School students may be exposed to infections and, so far, nine people have been quarantined. Affected people have been contacted by the infection control office and offered testing.

748 people tested themselves Tuesday, of which 60 went through mobile test stations. 245 people are prepared for the tests in the next few days and 51 people are waiting for an appointment.
