HØNEFOSS (VG) Just a year after being in “The Farm”, Mathias Scott Pascual (28) returns to the screen. But it was not an easy choice. – I thought about it a lot, he says.
Mathias Scott Pascual made a name for himself on “The Farm” last year, where he made it into the last week. This fall, he will make a comeback on the TV 2 series, but it is true that in the side competition “Torpet”, which airs on Sumo.
The return is also made by Olav Harald Ulstein, who participated in “The Farm” in 2014 and Karianne Wahlstrøm – from the 2017 season.
– I was very happy when they asked me. I never thought it would be. I’m also the first of my season, so maybe I made a good character in “The Farm” then. Really great, Pascual tells VG when we meet the three participants inside the “Torpet” farm.

Now he hopes to win “La Granja” in other attempts. The winner of “Torpet” will get a spot on the main farm in week 8, three weeks before the grand finale.
– When I was on “The Farm” last time, I went from being a gay city boy to becoming a real farmer. But this time it may be more tactical and more motivated to win. I will be more slippery than before, he says.
The “Farm” and “Torpet” participant has previously been open about the fact that his mother Torunn Skar Pascual (59) about three and a half years ago was diagnosed with incurable spreading ovarian cancer.

The 28-year-old has aligned himself with his mother through thick and thin, and he makes no secret of the fact that he thought about it once and twice before deciding to leave his mother again.
– I thought about it a lot. I did that last time too. We are incredibly close to each other and we have a unique relationship. He started chemotherapy before Christmas, because then things started to get worse again. She has had some tough rounds. At the same time, she has worked and worked until March, says the 28-year-old.
Mens:
– Fortunately, I know that it will happen and that one day I will return home. It was even more difficult last time when I went to “The Farm”. But it is a difficult decision.

Although her mother Torunn was diagnosed with incurable cancer, she can still live many good years with the disease, Pascual believes.
– That mother feels that way because of the pain she has, she is ill and has lost two brothers and her father to cancer … She feels it so strongly that she wants to live. She loves her life and her family, and that keeps her going. That she works is an achievement in itself.
He doesn’t hide the fact that he is now worried that he might be away for eleven weeks.

– Yes, I worry often. I laugh a little at Karianne and Olav, who can lie and stare into the room without thinking. I think all the time, he says with a smile, before adding with a more serious face:
– I feel like I worry about things that may come. But at the same time I know that if something happens to my family, then I will know.

Karianne Wahlstrøm tells VG that she has always dreamed of returning to television.
– I have wondered for a long time when I will return to the screen, because I seriously feel that I have not finished. “The Farm” was just the beginning, I feel like I have more to show on the screen.
Olav Harald Ulstein was never in doubt when asked to take part in the “Torpet” side competition.
– I was driving and I was inside a tunnel when they called. I spent just over 1.2 seconds answering yes. I didn’t even check if it was okay for them at home, she tells VG.
