Celina Midelfart has lost a lot to Borr Drilling.
– It’s just a matter of bending your neck, taking today’s reality inward and trying to be smarter in the future, says Midelfart to Finansavisen.
Investment company Midelfart Capital posted a pre-tax loss of minus NOK 24 million last year, the newspaper reports. Despite the decline, this is still better than the 2018 figures, which showed a loss of almost NOK 85 million.

– The figures speak for themselves with a collapse close to everything in oil and energy, which has caused me great losses. As a result of the consequences of the corona pandemic for global energy consumption and a large flow of capital towards ESG investments globally, it has resulted in a near collapse of my investments in drilling / oil services, tells Finansavisen .
Drill Drilling
One of the investments that Midelfart refers to is Borr Drilling. The crisis-stricken platform company fell 89 percent on the Oslo Stock Exchange last year. Among the reasons are a market with a lot of lead and little funding.
The online newspaper also mentioned the drop in March earlier this year.
The value of the shares quadrupled in June when Borr Drilling managed to raise NOK 300 million in new capital. It made the stock jump 30 percent again.
Since then, however, the value has fallen again and has now almost dropped to the level it had before the new capital.
Heirs
Medium-speed heirs Hermine and Celina split their joint investment company in 2018. After that, older sister Hermine made money, while little sister Celina lost, writes Dagens Næringsliv. At the same time, both fear financial losses due to the corona pandemic, the newspaper reports.
“The company, like many others, has been affected by the covid-19 outbreak. According to the board’s assessment, Midelfart Capital as will be affected by significant fluctuations in the stock market. At the time of the filing of the annual accounts, it is not yet possible to make a reliable estimate of the consequences that this outbreak will have for the company’s financial situation, ”says the company’s annual report.
“The coronavirus outbreak has created a significant slowdown in business. Uncertainty is very high relative to the depth of the slowdown in the Norwegian and international economy,” he says in the annual report of Hermine Midelfart’s investment firm, Pescara. ACE.
The online newspaper wrote in November that 2019 was a difficult year for super couple Celina Midelfart and Tor Olav Trøim.
According to the National Register, Midelfart moved to his home in the best western end of Oslo in August 2019, while Trøim continues to live in London. Neither of them responded to Nettavisen’s questions about the case at the time.
