– I would denounce him – VG

The audience knows them as good colleagues, but Hansen is confident in his new book “My Instastory” that the relationship between him and Follestad was close to ruin in the fall of 2018.

– It was all pretty serious. I wouldn’t go overboard with selling a book, but it was heavy. There and then none of us thought it would be more “Spårtsklubben”, Hansen tells VG.

He himself considered reporting his colleague to the police after what happened. For the record: Hansen and Follestad are affiliated with VGTV, which is wholly owned by VG.

On the VGTV program “Spårtsklubben”, the panelists expose each other to more or less serious inventions. This time Hansen had hatched a prank that she thought was one of a kind.

Used sister

When Hansen pretended to have had a flirtation with then-Follestad’s sister, 18-year-old Hedwig, it was way beyond the line that Follestad could have fun with.

– He understood that it was silly, but he got angry in the study. She didn’t like it there, says Hansen, who writes in the book:

Before the staging of the controversial bullying comedy show, Follestad had been fooled by the “Spårtsklubben” into thinking that he should expose Hansen to a proper “counter-joke”, but instead it was Follestad himself who was duped, once plus.

Follestad thought he had caught a sick Hansen in bed with an orchestra. Beside Hansen on the bed was not the partner, but Follestad’s sister.

On the “Mads and Morten bullying show” later that night, things went wrong.

Follestad was expected to gently pat the colleague with a flat hand, to indicate that he thought the humor was not in this case.

But that was not the case.

Beat Hansen

– What happened was that I was going to “roast” the person sitting behind, and I realized that something was happening when the audience gasped. It was “Folle.” I looked directly into two coal black eyes. And it didn’t take a split second before it crashed. First once, then twice, recalls Hansen.

He lay down, but thought “the show must go on.”

– But everyone realized that it was over. Morten Ramm finished it all, and “Fuck” and I went to ours. I did not want to talk to him. She wanted nothing more to do with him.

Dishwashing meetings

VGTV editor Rolf Sønstelie answers these questions about how the channel handled the situation:

– This happened at an event outside of VGTV, so the first thing we did was have several conversations with both parties about what happened, and it was made clear to Follestad that this could have consequences for their agreement with VGTV. In parallel, the two took the lead in a reconciliation conversation the next day, where Follestad gave Mads an unreserved apology.

Sønstelie says that after the conversation between Follestad and Hansen, the latter was clear that the case was out of the world on his part.

– In a follow-up conversation between VGTV and Follestad, you received a warning that this was completely unacceptable behavior, which could never be repeated, a warning that you immediately accepted. In short, it was decisive that both could continue together in “Spårtsklubben”, says the editor.

– In the toughest team

In the book, which gets a 4 dice roll by the VG critic, both versions of the two men are reproduced and they don’t match. completely.

Follestad admits that the “applause” was probably harsher than he thought.

Follestad quickly realized that he had gone too far and feared that it would cost him his job at “Spårtsklubben”.

Hansen writes that he was in pain after the collision, that his ribs ached, and that he had difficulty breathing. His body was sensitive and he had a headache.

This was the first time he had been beaten in his entire life, and his immediate reaction was that Follestad had to be punished.

– “Folle” hit hard. First with a fist to the stomach that probably broke a rib. Then, with the back of his hand on his head, so loud that it hissed and cheered me up all night. I would denounce it. You don’t hit anyone like that without being punished, Hansen tells VG.

Friends again

Both relate the subsequent state of emergency and the crisis meetings at work.

Hansen asked Follestad if it was okay to write in the book about what happened.

– I said it was fine, Follestad tells VG.

He says he must be responsible for what happened.

– We talked about it later, and I lay there and apologized. We have done well both at work and in privacy. So in that sense, it was good that something good came out of this shit, Follestad thinks.

Hansen did not show up because they were allowed to speak.

– “Folle” lay down, cried and tried to explain. It had built up over a long period of time. I told him that it was understandable, but that it was unbearable for him to use physical violence. We draw a line, and it probably sounds silly, but we come out strong. Before we were colleagues, now we are friends, says Hansen.

Hedwig Follestad, the core of the dispute, assures VG that he has a good relationship with everyone.

– I’ve only been on a couple of sketches on “Spårtsklubben”, and I wasn’t there when it happened, he tells VG.
