Brann is said to have received an offer for top scorer Gilbert Koomson (25). One of them will be from the Turkish Erzurumspor, worth almost three million crowns.

– It’s hard to talk about that. I don’t know how you heard it. But there have been some bargains, Koomson tells VG, as he hangs out with his girlfriend Kamilla Isabell and their newborn daughter Emilia on Wednesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian has been Brann’s most important player this season, scoring eight goals in 16 games from his right wing position. It has attracted the interest of larger clubs.

One of them is Erzurumspor, VG is informed by an informed team. The club was ranked second at level two in Turkey last season and thus promoted to Süper Lig.

Branns sports manager Rune Soltvedt has the following to say about the situation:

– The situation is that he has a contract until next year. There have been questions about him, but we want to have him here. That is probably what I can say about it.

– Have you rejected the offers that have come to you?

– There is interest around you. I don’t want to say much more. We want to hold it until it finally becomes such that we can’t say “no thanks,” says Soltvedt.

Uncertain future

Koomson is open about the fact that he finds it difficult to talk about the future. He is focused on doing well for Brann, with whom he has a contract until the end of 2021.

As the team has had a few days off due to the current stint of the national team, it has not been in dialogue with sporting director Soltvedt lately.

– I don’t know yet, since we’re on vacation. I haven’t spoken to Rune, says Koomson.

– How do you see your future in general?

– The future is in Brann right now, but if I receive an offer that is good for me, I would like to take that opportunity as well.

Waiting for clarification

– Will Turkey be an interesting country to go to?

– All leagues are different. Turkey, England and Germany. It’s about whether you fit in the league. Sometimes you can be lucky, other times it can take time. We’ll see what happens, says Koomson.
