(Sandefjord – Kristiansund 0-2) The rain almost stopped the match, but no one could stop Amahl Pellegrino. With two goals, he secured three points for Kristiansund.
Heavy rain and thunder created problems for the party in Sandefjord. The sky opened up over the whaling city and television footage showed the ball barely rolling on the grass. The water was deposited thick on the surface and in the end it was decided to postpone the start of the game for an hour.
– We cannot leave people on the mat while there is lightning and thunder. The decision was made in consultation with the association, both the teams and the referees, NFF match delegate Sjur Kortgaard told Eurosport.

Pellegrino-show
Amahl Pellegrino (30 years old) wrapped in a woolen blanket in the locker room while waiting for the game to start.
The attacker has been hot all year, and set the guests on fire with a good redeeming goal in the first half. Pellegrino had a chance from the penalty spot, and although Jacob Storevik was after the ball, the Kristiansund player was able to cheer on the 14th goal of the season. In the second half he scored number 15.
Pellegrino is the Eliteserien’s top scorer, four goals ahead of three players from Glimt and Hólmbert Fridjónsson from AaFK. He celebrated the first goal by paying tribute to the recently deceased Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman, known for the great movie “Black Panther.”
This was the third consecutive game with penalties for the 30-year-old who continues to score goals in the Elite Series.
After the match, he thanked the coach for the trust he has placed in Kristiansund.
– I have come to a place and a team that plays with my skills. Christian Michelsen has given me the security and confidence that I needed. “I’ve done something right and it’s fun when it goes in this direction,” Pellegrino told Eurosport after the match.
– It has been a revelation from day one. We were tired of him devastating us and we are happy to have him in the team, the coach smiles at the words of the attacker.
Call to punishment
Pellegrino’s goal finally became decisive in the match. Nordmøre’s guests completed a good tactical match and left Sandefjord with few great chances.
The closest to the home team was Rufo, who was allowed to be alone on the field and head. Unfortunately for the Spaniard and Sandefjord, the ball flew high over the goal. Shortly thereafter, Sandefjord called for a penalty when Emil Pálsson tore down the back of the field, but the referee ignored the incident and shook up the game.
After the game, however, it was Pellegrino who complained about the trio of referees. He replied that Faris Pemi received a yellow card for filming when he was shot on the road.
– Today we play against 14 men. We played against 11 blues and three blacks, Pellegrino complained.
Bent
The field did not appear to be affected by the heavy rains before the start of the game, and the teams managed to play soccer normally. Kristiansund had opportunities to increase the lead, and shortly before the end Pellegrino punctured the match. It was played only with the goalkeeper, he turned around and rolled the ball safely to the goal.
Kristiansund has only lost one game in the last eight.
– It’s delicious. There is a proud coach standing here. I think we’ve been solid all year, says Michelsen.
In the next round, Kristiansund will face Viking. Sandefjord goes to Mjøndalen.
