SIAN, Malmö | Not reason enough to accept ghetto culture among Muslims

The violence over the burning of the Qur’an and negative statements about Muhammad are not sufficient reasons to understand and accept the ghetto culture among Muslims.

Fires in Malmö after the burning of the Koran, violence in Bergen after someone called Muhammad a false prophet and attacked the police in Trondheim because they were there to safeguard SIAN’s basic right to demonstrate.

One may wonder why some Muslims choose to burn tires on the streets of Malmö and others resort to violence in Bergen, Trondheim and Oslo, while another group of Muslims can be content to go to work or school and eat their packed lunch. . Their concerns extend to whether they have time to pick up in kindergarten or whether they can complete the homework.

These Muslims live in the same country as those who burn tires and throw stones at the police and SIAN. If one were to follow the logic of some left-wing progressives, they should also be caused by the so-called infinite injustice that takes place when Muhammad is called a false prophet or when the Koran is burned. But that does not happen, it is largely Muslim men and women with a lack of understanding and respect for fundamental rights who resort to violence. This is a kind of ghetto culture of the Muslim world.

In recent days, some have come to express that there is a continuous and persistent hoarding of Muslim youth. No matter how well-intentioned these statements are, they are a kind of carpet bombing to cover up actual acts of violence. If Muslim youth are generally insulted, why can only one group be provoked? Is it a question of temperament, upbringing and culture?

This culture, formerly found in alleys and bazaars in distant skies, has taken hold in the West and Norway. This development is due in large part to the acceptance that this narrow understanding of honor, duty and responsibility is universal for the entire Muslim population.

It is not sensible or fair that one should be evasive in the face of this type of behavior, one should not allow one to excuse violence against statements in hindsight, as “this was not planned, it just happened.” If I am going to allow myself to be rude, I would say that it is very rare to carry 18 eggs, a few meters of 1.5 “x3” and a few kilos of stone if you go to a demonstration. Unless you’re on your way home from a shopping trip at the hardware and grocery store, and stop by to see the demo.

The same trend has been observed in the United States for decades. Where a number of negative cultural characteristics of the African American culture have been excused and explained as a kind of reaction to slavery, which has been going on for several generations before. An approach that suggests that violence, honor, and overreactions in this century must be understood in the context of something someone must have experienced a couple of centuries ago. It does not reflect on why some African Americans do not choose to live differently.

Thomas Sowell writes that there is an acceptance of this type of behavior and an acceptance of the African American ghetto culture. A culture that has significant negative consequences for African Americans. In other words, it can be called the racism of low expectations.

These actions show a lack of respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of the West. The same rights and freedoms that are the basis for many, but obviously not all, who choose to pack their bags and embark on the journey to the West. These actions are a narrow understanding of honor and duty, which can be considered a ghetto culture that has taken hold among Muslims in the West.
