Norwegian births on hold

VG has been in contact with the Tammuz Nordic Surrogacy company, an Israeli sub-company from Tammuz, which several Norwegians wish to use as parents. Swedish founder Eduardo Afonso says they made sure three new Norwegian citizens came to the world in late April / May, with their parents on site. He does not say where.

– We responded quickly and made sure that those expecting a delivery traveled to the place where the delivery was to take place. As of autumn, we have about ten Norwegian births, write in an email.

– The pandemic effect is, to say the least, terrible for many people around the world. Our priority right now is that there should be no birth without at least one parent present. We are working on this in various ways, including through dialogue with the authorities of the different countries, he continues.

On Friday, VG contacted the clinic in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Forensic Medicine (at UiO), which processes DNA samples for surrogate children of Norwegian parents.
