Golf golfer Rory McIlroy, 31, is not impressed with the way his former golf “friend” and President Donald Trump (73) handle the US crown crisis.
– We are in the middle of something serious and he is trying to make him political and run a campaign outside of him – he says that we have most of the evidence in the world as if it were a competition – it is cruel, says Rory McIlroy in the podcast “McKellar Golf Podcast, “reprinted by the New York Post.
– This is not how a leader should behave. You have to have a diplomatic attitude and I don’t think it shows, especially in these times.
Trump is a golf enthusiast. Suzann “Tutta” Pettersen has played golf several times with the President and they have a close relationship, something he recounted in a VG interview in 2018.

In 2017, McIlroy received an invitation to play a round of golf with the then-new US President. USA The New York Post writes that the golf star had barely gotten out of the 18th hole before being killed by her fans on social media.
In the McKellar Golf Podcast, McIlroy is asked how he experienced reactions after the round with Trump.
– I have not played with him again, so that answers the question well, the golf star answered and indicated that he had received invitations from the president for new rounds of golf later, without that happening again.
McIlroy lives near the Trump residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
– I doubt if you want to play with me again after what I just said. But no, he wouldn’t do it again, says the 31-year-old.
McIlroy claims he was called both a fascist and a social media fan after the round of golf with the president.
The golf star says he can admit he had a good day with Trump in 2017, describing him as a charismatic “X-factor” man.
– Obviously you have something to do. You wouldn’t have been in the White House if you hadn’t, would you? McIlroy says, adding:
– But that doesn’t mean I agree with everything, or anything, he says.
