“WIN FREE CLOTHING FOR A YEAR” announces clothing giant NA-KD on Instagram for the time being. To become one of the three lucky winners, you must follow your account, share the post in your story, like the photo, and tag three friends in the comment box.
Obviously, people want a free annual consumption of clothing, because these images are the only thing that can be seen in the people of the moment. But do you know that by sharing this, you run free advertising?
– Yes; D is Aftenposten’s discussion site for youth ages 13-21.
– We publish around 20 publications per week, both on paper and online.
– The objective is to raise young voices in public debate.

– Not sure how to write discussion posts? Here are some tips along the way.
NA-KD held exactly the same type of competition for almost a year. So I said clearly from my own story what I thought about this. The story was shared by over 100 gongs and watched by 2,300 people. This year I write a chronicle, so that they listen to me even more.
Low ranking
After a quick search of the Goodonyou app, an app that researches the clothing brand and gave them an evaluation based on the brand’s scores in ethics, grooming, and animals, we see that NA-KD is rated one of five possible stars, as well as “very poor” in the three subcategories. After reviewing your website, there is also little information to find about actual goals when it comes to calculating power.
So that’s the risk you run when you share the post where you can win free clothes. There is potential free publicity for environmental pollution and a contribution to further destroy our planet.
They get scattered images of their product on tens of thousands of Instagram profiles, the image reaches millions. It is effective and cheap marketing, they should have it.
But do you want to be part of this?
We have a responsibility
Be aware of your power on social media! This is not the best influencer job. The fact that several Norwegian influencers this spring have chosen completely uncritically to create collections with NA-KD is worth criticism in itself, but this is another debate. In this case, you and you as a private individual have as much responsibility as influencers.
Do you need an annual consumption of clothes? Chances are not, at least not from a clothing brand that clearly doesn’t take the world or the person who lives in it seriously.
