A woman was found dead at an address in Åsane on Saturday night. A man who was found at the same address was sent to the hospital.
He reports to the Western Police District in a press release at 02:49 on Sunday night.
The woman was found in a private home, and the police moved to the scene at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
It happened after they received a message of concern.
– The woman was pronounced dead on the spot. The man at the scene was conscious, but needed medical supervision. The person in question was rushed to the hospital, says West Knut Dahl-Michelsen Police District Operations Manager.
Both the woman and the man are 20 years old, reports the operations manager to VG.
The woman’s relatives have been notified.
Police are investigating the case as a suspicious death and at the moment cannot say anything about the cause of death.
– Now work is being done at the crime scene and a case is being opened, and then we will try to talk to the man who has been transported to the hospital, says operations manager Dahl-Michelsen to VG.
Bergens Tidende was the first to mention the case.
– We are working to have control of the details of the case, but right now we are in an initial phase, says operations manager Tom Johannessen to the newspaper.
Johannessen stressed to the newspaper that they currently have no evidence to believe that something criminal has happened, but that the death is being investigated as a suspect.
