An 18-year-old man from Larvik was found dead and partially buried in the ground on Friday night.
Police believe the 18-year-old was killed in a work accident, likely on Friday afternoon. He was found partially buried in the ground and had worked with a machine that welded the topsoil, police say.
On Friday, the police for the first time received a report of the man’s disappearance, operations manager Tore Grindem in the southeast police district tells VG.
– Later, someone in his circle of acquaintances looked for a place where he could be and found him there, he says The man was found at 10:50 p.m. on Friday.
Family members have been notified and the police do not suspect that anything criminal has happened to the 18-year-old.
– There are things that indicate that you should do some kind of maintenance on the machine, and then there was an accident in which it was covered with topsoil, says Grindem.
To Østlands-posten, he tells that the 18-year-old’s family and close friends are in shock after the accident.
