16 year old stabbed in the face – seriously injured – VG

– Child stabbed in the face with a large knife. There are police and ambulance on site. He is probably not seriously injured, the Oslo police write on Twitter.

The incident occurred in Bogerud next to the metro station.

VG has obtained access to a video of the incident. The video shows several people hitting objects and kicking a person lying on the ground, before running from the scene. Several passersby approach the person lying on the ground.

– One is seriously injured, another has been arrested, says operations manager Vidar Pedersen to VG. The injured man was taken by ambulance to hospital.

– When we got to the place, most of the people had run, there was one left. There are about eight people involved. Many messages arrived about a machete, an ax or a large knife.

The wounded man who was sent to the emergency room is 16 years old.

The police are searching for the perpetrators with great force, and the crime guard is also in Bogerud.

– We are looking for people with names, says Pedersen.

The 16-year-old has a deep cut on his face that is initially stitched up, he claims. Family members will be notified.

– A lot of blood

VG has spoken with a witness who lives near where the incident occurred.

– I first heard screams that sounded like an argument. Then there were more crying cries. Then I looked out the window, he says.

He claims he called the police.

– There were between five and seven young people gathered around one. They hit him with various objects, they looked like machetes, says the witness.

He says he was the first to arrive on the scene at the same time that the police arrived.

– There was a lot of blood. Police gave him first aid before the ambulance arrived, he says.

The witness believes that the youths were between 15 and 19 years old.

– It is not pleasant that this type of thing happens in the neighborhood, young people with guns. Sad to see, she says.
