A documentary about the last days of comedy hero Robin Williams will tell how the actor fought a rare neurological disorder in the run-up to his death.
Levy said, ‘In the last movie, it was clear to all of us that something had happened to Robin.
‘I remember him saying to me,’ I do not know what’s going on. I’m not me anymore. ‘”
The documentary, directed by Tylor Norwood, will tell how Williams fights a rare brain disease called Lewy Body Dementia.
His wife, Susan Schneider Williams, recently told Entertainment Weekly: ‘With the invaluable help of leading medical experts, I saw that what Robin and I went through finally made sense – our experience matched that of science.
‘And what I discovered along the way was bigger than me, and bigger than Robin. The full story was revealed while making this movie and it contains the truth that Robin and I were looking for. “
Telling where the title of the documentary comes from, she added: “Robin wanted to help us all be less afraid. That was Robin’s wish.
‘We had discussed what we want our legacy to be in life; when it was our time to go, how we humans would like to feel. Without missing a beat, Robin said, ‘I want to help people be less afraid.’ ”
The documentary will be published via VOD on September 1st.
