Marvel’s Avengers is expanding this beta this weekend to more platforms and players, and a new patch addresses some of the feedback that has come from the first round. Crystal Dynamics also gave an idea of issues that it is aware of and others that it is currently working on.
According to official patch notes, the 1.3.0 patch addresses multiple issues with matchmaking and crashes, and fixes some bugs that revolve around certain heroes. It also states that you may run into problems for Xbox One players if your NAT type is set to a higher setting.
The studio is working on reducing screen shake and repairing a bug that would spawn multiple heroes. In its Signed Issues section, Crystal Dynamics suggests solutions if you’re having trouble accessing content outside of the Golden Gate Bridge, how to use Black Widow and Iron Man’s gear, and more. It is currently also investigating errors over internet connection and will keep players entertained updated via Twitter.
Last weekend, the beta was exclusive to pre-ordered PS4 players. Early Access is one of PlayStation’s exclusive perks including the possible addition of Spider-Man. This weekend it will expand to all PS4 players, while also going live for PC and Xbox One. A full open beta across all platforms will follow next week. In a tweetje, the official game account also acknowledged that the high volume of beta registrations leads to delays. If you plan to play on PC, check out the recommended PC specs.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of Square Enix Member Account registrations and delays in outgoing confirmation emails. We are actively working to address this.
