Louisiana coronavirus: 1,513 new cases, 122 hospitalized; See latest information | Corona virus


The Louisiana Department of Health noted 1,513 more confirmed coronavirus cases and 16 more deaths in its Sunday afternoon update.

Hospitalization increased by 122 to 1,196.

Sunday’s numbers reflect two-day value data; The health department did not release the case number on Saturday.

An additional 128 potential cases were reported in the state on Sunday.

Here are the other statewide statistics as of Sunday:

– Total confirmed cases: 220,309

– Total confirmed deaths: 6,152

– Currently hospitalized: 1,196

– Currently on ventilator: 125

– Assumed recovery: Nov. 192,488 up to 22

The Louisiana Department of Health presents a daily case count on Twitter, based on the number of duplicate cases dropped. The calculation of that case may be different than the one listed here.

  • Jefferson County: 217
  • East Baton Rouge County: 129
  • Orleans County: 117
  • Parish of St. Tammy: 99
  • Lafayette County: 78
  • U read parish: 77
  • Tangipahoa Parish: 65
