The favorites of the Žalgiris tournament against the residents of Klaipėda have not had any problems this season: 81:59 and 104: 74.
Kaunas residents have won three of the five KMT tournaments held so far (2017, 2018 and 2020); at that time, Klaipėda residents can only boast bronze medals (2016); they have stayed fourth for the past two years.
On the way to the Final Four, the Verdiblanco did not sweat too much with Pasvalys’s “Milk Stars” (98:82 and 103: 77), and the Blue and White competed with Šiauliai “Šiauliai” only until the last seconds (91:76 77:88 ).
In total, the Citadele-KMT final four tournament in 2021 will consist of four matches: two semi-finals and the small and large finals (Sunday, 14 hours 45 minutes and 17 hours 50 minutes).
It is true that this is far from everything that awaits the fans. A three-point competition will be held on the last day. The well-known snipers Artūras Milaknis and Andrew Goudelock will also participate.
The winners of the final four Citadele-KMT will receive a cash prize of 40 thousand euros, the finalists – 25 thousand, the winners of the bronze medal – 15 thousand and the owners of the fourth place – 10 thousand. euros.
“Žalgiris” triumphed at the KMT event held in Klaipeda last year, which beat Vilnius “Rytas” 80:60 in the final. “Lietkabelis” took third place, deleting “Neptune” 84:73.
