Jūratė Zailskienė, director of the administration of the municipality of Prienai district, confirmed that on May 5 she received a letter from the Ministry of Transport and Communications indicating that it was not appropriate to change the state of the Kaunas – Prienai – Alytus road.

Kaunas District Mayor Valerijus Makūnas said this is not the mayors’ first address regarding the rebuilding of the Kaunas – Prienai – Alytus highway, its importance and emphasis on safety should be heard.
