Marijampolė’s “Sūduva”, which did not win a single title last year, solved many puzzles during the offseason, but in January fans received long-awaited answers and the runners-up began inviting newcomers, seven of whom came and this number will not be limited.
After the unsuccessful end of the season, all the footballers who played at the peak of the attack on the home front left Marijampolė: Mihretas Topčagičius, Josipas Tadičius, Eligijus Jankauskas and Valerijus Šabala. The significant changes after the departure of Renanas Oliveira, Gleb Kluškinas and Domagojus Pušičius are also noticeable in the midfield, in addition, there are not even three central defenders left: Algis Jankauskas, Ivan Hladikas and Linas Klimavičius.

To this day, Marijampolė’s chances of regaining the title seem a bit more modest than Vilnius’s “Žalgiris” will win it again, but drawing the grim scenario of “Sūduvai” doesn’t really make sense.
