According to Antanas Juknevičius, he appreciates the performance on the Dakar because it is difficult to compete with better-equipped armed rivals with an old car. Therefore, you should think about updating the technology. It is no secret that Darius Vaičiulis promised not to participate in another Dakar, so Antanas was asked if he would look for a Portuguese. However, he escaped diplomatically: he hopes that viruses will close Antarctica and that Darius cannot get out of there.

Arūnas Gelažninkas (Zigmas Dakar team) came out for a second media talk. He didn’t hide his joy, although his initial emotions had already subsided. According to Arūnas, he accomplished more than expected. This Dakar was heavier than last year, but it managed to avoid collapse, so this time we did better. And such a result will contribute to the popularization of motorcycling in Lithuania.

Laisvydas Kancius agreed that his performance on the Dakar would contribute to the popularization of the ATV discipline. However, he pointed out that the situation in our country is not favorable for motorsports, especially enduro, there are almost no legal tracks for it. Therefore, the Lithuanian government should seriously consider how to create the proper infrastructure.

Benediktas Vanagas (Inbank Toyota Gazoo Racing Baltics and Heston Airlines), who immediately represented the two teams, said analysis was needed so far to assess the results early. But he made no secret of his hope of being in the top ten. He also commented that at least 22 teams, just looking at the drivers list, were worth the TOP10, so the competition was very high. On the other hand, according to B. Vanagas, the number of actual applicants could be 30.

Felipe Palmeiro received a lot of attention, for whom the Lithuanian cold turned into a serious challenge: the temperature difference between Jeddah and Vilnius reached 48 degrees. Portugal has admitted that such a cold is a great exoticism for him. Felipe also said that on this Dakar the organizers put a lot of effort into shaping the tracks, so the sailors had a lot of work to do.

Vanag agreed that everyone in Dakar gets what he deserves. In other words, the last place occupied reflects the value of preparation. Let’s just say I didn’t have much time to get used to the new car, I basically had to do it after the start of the Dakar.

On the other hand, some figures provide optimism. For example, in 2019, when B. Vanag and S. Rozwadowski ranked 11th, they were 8 hours behind the leader. And this year, only at 5 pm This shows that the occupied position is a relative concept, it depends only partially on the actual speed, as it is determined by many different factors.
