Last night in the United States, it emerged that Dallas Mavericks owner Marc Cuban had found former NBA basketball player Delonte West, and now it became clear that the latter had agreed to begin rehab.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Cuban contacted West’s mother, Delphina Addison, and asked how he could help her. The woman’s response was simple: find her son.

Cuban did it when he found a homeless West near one of the gas stations in Dallas. Initially it was announced that his relatives had convinced West to go to the rehab center, and now it was clear that the former player had decided that he was willing to receive the help he needed.

West had revealed in the past that he suffered from bipolar disorder, and Cuban offered to cover the cost of treatment even before the former player decided to go to a rehab clinic.

West, 37, averaged 9.7 points in the NBA over his eight-year career and gave 3.6 assists per pass. He played in the last NBA season in 2011-2012, defending the Dallas Mavericks.
