From a young age he has a passion for older people.
Jurgita’s love for the elderly was born as a child, when out of need she always helped her parents repair and repaint furniture. While her parents allowed the girl to move things freely, she kept changing something in her room, trying to create a cozy and warm atmosphere.
“In the tenth grade, a Polish interior magazine fell into my hands for the first time. I also I set myself on fire, I felt so much passion … I started to think about what I can do with what I have, – remembers Jurgita. – I have been artistic since I was little, I had a volatile fantasy, but my parents tried. shoot down. Mom wanted me to be an accountant or auditor. “

Now that she is an adult, Jurgita buys some of the things that others no longer need, and finds some, so she takes them, putting a lot of love, renews them and finds a place at home.
“Sometimes I pick up what is left in town. For example, I have not yet stretched the sink that is spitzbut it is not realistic, it is in good condition. I like to search for information on how to update, I am not afraid of rust.
I once bought a chair from the 90s for 5 euros. It looked good on the internet, so I saw how big it was when we got there; my dad and I even sat down. But in the end I told him that we would make it right, let’s pee somehow Golf.
I have accumulated many interior design magazines, which I even bring from abroad. No shelf would withstand them the way my antique bedding closet can. He didn’t even bow! And it is impossible to raise her, I hardly stretched the house ”, says Jurgita.
There is a balance in Jurgita’s house: a woman can easily buy an IKEA wardrobe and her daughter can find an old metal princess bed, because that’s what she intended.
“I love this store for the little things that I can do for myself. I have his bed, his cabinets, but the quality is bad. This saddens me, because the useful life of the furniture is extremely short, ”says the Vilnius resident.
At first I was so embarrassed … I marked where I saw the thing and went at night to see if everyone was sleeping.
Jurgita admits that she doesn’t like recent trends where people create their interiors in a highly orderly way, reminiscent of show houses, where there is no life.
“I don’t like a pure style, I think I should feel a little nauseous about it. People like us a lot licked interiors, – considers Jurgita. “I like it when you see people living in that place, so I like the ones that mix the modern with the old.”
The house carries all kinds of discarded items.
While raising a dog, Jurgita goes for a walk with him every day, and there are always at least a few garbage containers on the route, near which she often finds abandoned furniture. A woman is so adept at finding treats that others no longer need, that she even knows where the best items can be found and where to throw them away more often.
“I always pull a dog, I say, davaiCome on, I see something beautiful lying Oh the snake, announce to all Vilnius that we are going to take an article out of the garbage. Loja, running, laughs Jurgita. – At first I was so embarrassed … I marked where I saw the thing and went at night to see if everyone was sleeping. But after a few times competitors dragged me by the nose, I stopped doing it. Now that I see it, I take it right away. “

Over time, Jurgita’s eyes learn to see good things, so she notices a lamp in the grass, for example.
“That time I started laughing because I flew like a rocket across the street towards him. I have to hurry, because there have been times when a son-in-law has taken a beautiful table before my eyes. This is how the nerve stopped, – the woman smiles. – I have found a reproduction of a wonderful image. My daughter and I went shopping, I saw it, I picked it up, put it in the shopping cart and walked with it ”.
Jurgita often finds discarded picture frames, chandeliers, chairs near the bins, and often finds abandoned dishes that, luckily for the woman, were beautifully placed in boxes by the former owners. Jurgita is so happy with all the items she finds that she can’t even say what things fascinate her the most.
“All things are beautiful,” says the Vilnius woman. – I recently brought a lamp – I don’t like the color so I will repaint it. I really like lamps. Also, I love tables, sometimes I take them for feet only because I know I will use them. I promise to connect one to the other shelf and it will make a great table for a TV. “
When I lived in the first apartment, I didn’t take much because I was embarrassed.
In the past, Jurgita used to think if she really needed it before taking it home. However, after having suffered several times from too long reflections, today he is immediately taking over everything.
“When I lived in the first apartment, I didn’t drink much because I was embarrassed,” says Jurgita. “Later, until I decided if I needed that thing, it was gone.” So the heart was fine. “
Family members do not support such activities.
Jurgita has to renovate most of the items she brings home, but this is another activity she loves. Although mistakes do occur, a woman with great enthusiasm learns and experiments. And one of his biggest inspirations is his favorite TV channel, from which he hears a lot of advice.
“I don’t take the cover from the broken chandelier because it says it has to stay where it was broken. If the hood is okay, there is nothing else to do but wash. However, other items generally need to be repaired and painted. I only have a closet that is very heavy, beautiful, but a bit scratched, I still don’t know whether to hold my nails or less ”, Jurgita smiles.

Some of Jurgita’s unnecessary items are also protected by her friends; for example, a friend has taken over the built-in shoe rack.
“I was underestimating that my puppy taken from the shelter would ruin all the high heels. We walked, we walked towards the containers, until we finally found a shelf that was extremely popular around the 1980s. I took home and made shoes Hide and Seek. After a while, the trembling of the shoes stopped and I was able to calmly go back to work ”, the woman laughs.
Jurgita laughs saying that she doesn’t even want to know what her neighbors think when she sees a woman who comes home with items taken from a container each time. Jurgita’s relatives have a similar opinion, because not everyone understands her hobby.
“My daughter has said that she does not like my interior style very much, she is a fan of white tones and I have to have a lot of colors and decorations. But she is not ashamed of me.
Mom thinks I should do more serious things than, as she says, nonsense. He is the type of person who throws an item and buys a new one, even if it is of poor quality. I have told you many times that there is no need to spend money like this when the furniture is of poor quality. I can tell right away in store what won’t last long. And my mother barks, saying that if I regret spending the money, I can give mine.
Mom thinks I should do more serious things than, as she says, nonsense.
I look more like a father, I am an artistic child; He supports me and occasionally pushes someone home. Just quietly calm because otherwise he drives the devil away from his mother.
Other family members look a bit quizzical, but I have a lot of support from my sister and friends. They say that I inspire, someone and the muse have named it “, says Jurgita.
By living this way, Jurgita saves a lot as she rarely buys new furniture and spends money just to renovate necessary equipment. The woman admits to having thought that in the future she might try to sell some resurrected things also for a second life.
“I have dominated the closet in the hall, if I had called a worker, probably without two thousand. I would not have turned around. And now, with all means, I have invested 200 euros,” says the Vilnius resident.
For newcomers to similar activities, Jurgita advises opening your heart and fostering an understanding of the things that lie next to the containers.
“It just came to our knowledge then. The objects next to the containers are crying, it seems to me that it hurts that they were thrown away, – Jurgita is convinced.” In other homes, they come to life and, if necessary, find a place for them”.
