On Sunday Delphi the photographer visited the newly opened space of several restaurants.

The local manager appreciates the huge interest from the early days. It is true that after the first week, the flow of visitors slowed down a bit, but now every week there is stable and moderate growth. In part, the manager links this to the entry into force of the Opportunity Passport.

“I didn’t face the problem of attracting traffic, they just stalled. The first stage passed, the first week, when many visitors wanted to simply take a photo and look around. Since that first week, the flows have dropped a little, but not very strong, we still do not complain about them, especially on weekends. Now we are trying to maneuver between the quarantine requirements and everyone who wants to visit us, ”says Rūta Chadasevičiūtė, manager of Paupio Market.

According to her, not only do locals visit here, but visitors come from further afield. There are so many people on the weekends that it is difficult to find free seats at the tables. There are about 200 of them outside, about 100 more inside with the Opportunity Passport.

“In the early days, when the Opportunity Passport came into force, all the tables were set inside. Since June, we have increased the number of seats inside.

During peak hours, we practically always have a full seat. Peak traffic is equally high on full-time weekends. On weekdays, depending on the time and weather, most visitors do so at night, ”says R. Chadasevičiūtė.

The interlocutor admits that it is not easy to control all the flows: “We feel the relaxation of the visitors regarding the quarantine requirements. There are those who want to argue, conflict, etc. We are trying to maneuver. We have felt it especially since the Passport of Opportunities came into force. Visitors don’t really want to understand why you can sit at some tables and not others. We have that order inside, because we have to control the total flow, to let in a certain number of people. “

According to the head of “Paupio turgaus”, there are no problems to check the Oportunidades passport, but there are isolated cases in which some come with valid passports in the company of friends and others do not.

Although the market managers originally planned to host events here, they have postponed these plans until now.

“Our expectations have been exceeded since the first month. Why don’t we organize special events? We don’t want to generate additional traffic with events because that is enough. Now we are just thinking about how to build additional tables and seats to make it more comfortable for visitors. ”Says R. Chadasevičiūtė.

The Paupio market currently has 16 restaurants and 3 bars. The market is open until 10pm all day of the week, only the pub with separate entrance is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The real estate Darnu Group has invested LTL 2 million in the installation of the market. euros.
