To solve the waste problem, we send them the addresses of the corresponding containers, which we cannot reach due to heavy snow, slippery roads or blocked entrances. VASA: 4 days of unsent waste found in 50 locations

To the best of VASA’s knowledge, no waste is currently shipped for more than a week. Several addresses are known where waste is not shipped for up to 6 days due to obstacles.

“According to the data we have today, there are about 50 days of undelivered waste in about 50 locations, mainly in Fabijoniškės, Žirmūnai, Justiniškės, Lazdynai. Several addresses remain in Naujininkai, Naujamiestis and Šeškinė. VIASA reportedly receives information from waste haulers on a daily basis about the addresses to which the waste was not shipped due to the above obstacles. “The VASA controllers organize the cleaning of the roads: they report to the City Management and Environment Department of the municipality, they go to Grinda, they ask the elderly for help, they report to the administrators and caretakers of the building.
