“The second round will add up all the points, but I hope we have a faction of between ten and eleven people, that would be realistic considering the current results,” V. Čmilytė-Nielsen told reporters on Monday evening.

“I hope to be in the second round,” said the Liberal leader, a candidate in the Vilnius Old Town-Žvėrynas district.

When asked to evaluate the preliminary results of the new liberal force, the Freedom Party, which is slightly ahead of the Liberal Movement, V. Čmilytė-Nielsen considered that much was determined by the novelty factor of the party led by Aušrinė Armonaitė .

“The result is good and, more broadly, I think it is very positive that the center-right has a strong representation and that the liberal electorate is well represented in parliament (…) The polls showed something different, but apparently the parties (Freedom party (BNS) is a great advantage for them ”, says the leader of the Liberal Movement.

Values positively the performance of the Spokesman of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis in the list of the Liberal Movement.

“From what I could see, in fact, I have not yet seen the results, but I see that he is doing very well among the priority votes, which means that our voters voluntarily rank the president of the Seimas,” said V. Čmilytė-Nielsen .

He said the so-called rainbow coalition in the Seimas after the elections “is one of the possible scenarios.”

According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), V. Čmilytė-Nielsen is the leader in her constituency. At that time, V. Pranckietis is currently the leader in the Raudondvaris district.

The Liberal Movement currently has 6.38 percent. Conservatives, Peasants, Labor Party, Social Democrats and Freedom Party.
