The new vice ministers will take office on Tuesday. S. Ščajevienė will be responsible for the implementation of the areas of public administration, V. Dmitrijev – for the area of ​​public security.

According to the Ministry, V. Dmitrijev has many years of experience in the Seimas Defense and National Security Committee, and since 2008 he has been the head of the committee’s office. The new Deputy Minister also worked in the State Audit Office and State Tax Inspectorate, and began his career in 1995 with the Trakai District Police.

“My main objective is to take care of the civil servants, improve their offer, raise the prestige of the civil servant profession, I hope that by working together with the services and cooperating with the civil servants’ unions, we will achieve these goals,” says Dmitrijev in the report.

The Deputy Minister of the Interior Sigita Ščajevienė worked for more than 9 years in the Legal Department of the Seimas Chancellery as the main advisor, and since 2015 she has been the head of the office of the Seimas Audit Committee. Since 2016, he has served on the Control Committee of the Nordic Investment Bank.

The deputy minister promises to focus on public administration and self-government, as well as civil service.

“I intend to pay more attention to the civil service, because I believe that this is an area that needs to be strengthened and modernized, and I also look forward to successful cooperation with the local government,” says S. Ščajevienė.

Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė’s team already includes two advisers: a spokeswoman Lina Laurinaitytė – Grigienė and a general affairs adviser Agneta Ladek.
