As Veryga said, a proposal has been made to the government in open public spaces where people don’t get together and get together, and the link can be renounced. However, it is likely that the recommendations to use masks and exteriors will be maintained.

“But in closed spaces, where people communicate, there is no idea of giving up the masks. Let’s understand that more than one family member gathers at celebrations, and if people from different places gather, those masks should be worn. Let’s understand that no one will send officials to all the celebrations, so the organizers must understand that, especially where there will be entertainment, and then, after all, intoxicated, if they want to enjoy certain conflicts. That’s really it, think multiple times before organizing those celebrations, “said A. Veryga.

However, until there is a government decision, there are no clear recommendations either.

“As long as that requirement persists, I still wouldn’t dare speculate and say. As long as the virus is really alive, we forget it very quickly, they say, few cases. It all started with a case. And in China, it all started with a case. There are not many of them in Lithuania, there are several hundred who are infected and can still infect others. Those people are not only in treatment facilities, even though there are basically fireplaces there, but there are infected people elsewhere and we must be careful. When there are no cases of infection, then, apparently, it is possible and will be possible to talk about abandoning these measures, “said the head of SAM.

The minister’s journalist asked if the masks should be mandatory or recommended.

“Where the obligation is and should be imposed: indoors, where people meet, communicate, contact is inevitable, it will be necessary to wear masks.” But due to the use of masks in the open space, we hear great dissatisfaction. Of course, it is human to quickly forget all the problems, because Lithuania has done well in handling the virus, – said A. Veryga.

– More and more people think that the virus does not exist and that the discomfort caused by wearing a mask when the weather has warmed up is already a bigger problem than the virus itself. Let us understand that the implementation of any measure does not depend on how many police officers will be on the street, but on how many people will be aware of and abide by themselves. In other words, if we see that society no longer adopts certain measures in some way, it is no longer possible to implement them, then it no longer makes sense to apply some measures and consider them as obligations, even in the same masks in public. “

According to the minister, masks should be recommended. “Countries that have to wear masks <...> shows that they did not harm anyone and did not cause discomfort, lack of oxygen, etc. People live and really protect at least a small part of the population, “Veryga said. “I think these recommendations will really last a long time.”
