Neringa Venckienė, accused of non-execution of a court decision, resistance to a police officer, obstruction of a bailiff, and face-to-face with Laimute Stankūnaitė, appears before the Panevėžys Regional Court. Sheriff Sonata Vaicekauskienė, who made the decision to hand over Venckienė’s daughter to her biological mother Stankūnaitė in 2012, will be questioned here soon. In the present case, it is discovered that she was the victim.
A video of the Lithuanian police operation in Garliava, which divided Lithuania, is also reviewed in a private audience. N. Venckienė herself is surprised that this material is finally analyzed, because it is obvious that violence was used against her and the girl.
“In that video, you see what’s going on and everyone’s testimony that the boy came out voluntarily. There you can clearly see that Stankūnaitė is using force, that the police are using force against me. What is made public is a complete lie, ”says suspect N. Venckienė.
The sheriff, who seeks to award Venckienė non-pecuniary damages for nearly 30,000 euros, says he has suffered psychological violence from the former judge’s supporters for many years. She was threatened not only with her but also with members of her family. Although the situation calmed down when Venckiene was hiding in Chicago, Vaicekauskienė is now allegedly receiving threat letters again.
“Only one episode is enough: illegal gathering of information for myself. It is also addressed in one of the criminal convictions. Also, living with protection for two years speaks volumes. Various comments, incitement to discord for my profession as bailiff.” says bailiff Sonata Vaicekauskienė.
Although N. Venckienė, who often goes to court or tribunal, is greeted by a group of supporters, only a few people were waiting for her this morning.
“A very surprising episode that reveals the wounds of our society, some disorder, legal nihilism,” says Teresė, a supporter of Venckienė.
The next meeting is scheduled for September. An interview with Laimutė Stankūnaitė, who is considered a victim, is also planned. The latter has filed a civil claim for non-pecuniary damages of 20 thousand euros.
