Speaking in the Seimas, V. Valkiūnas provoked a storm of arguments. Not only did he make many scandalous phrases about homosexuals, but as soon as he approached the rostrum he began to disinfect it.
“You need to disinfect because you said you can’t drink water, and where are those disinfectants? There is not. There are no unemployed in Lithuania to disinfect. This is where chintz is spreading, ”said Seimas member V. Valkiūnas as he sprayed the Seimas rostrum and microphones with disinfectant.
“I wanted to show how incompetent this virus is. The rostrum must be disinfected after each speech as the risk is high. It is not known who may be infected,” explained V. Valkiūnas his actions in the Seimas Hall.
While on the “Are you serious?” Show, he stated that the Seimas must be extremely vigilant and even have to be a separate person to monitor everything and disinfect everything.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Much is said, but not long ago,” V. Valkiūnas evaluated the work of Seimas in the face of the pandemic.
V. Valkiūnas said a scandalous phrase about homosexuals who criticized the candidacy of Ingrida Šimonyt for the post of prime minister. He spared no criticism during his visit to the Delfi show. As he himself said, I. Šimonytė spent only half an hour performing in the mixed group of Seimas members.
“He came and ran away with such disrespect,” stated V. Valkiūnas. “I understand that there are people like that, … for them, that subtlety, that humanity … Somehow they fail to grasp it.”
When asked if V. Valkiūnas did not think that due to the terrible pandemic it was necessary to shorten the meeting time and avoid contact for as long as possible, he added: “Quickly, it will be a series invisible and scrambled eggs unacceptable (The language of a member of the Seimas – Delfi is not corrected) ”.
The list of possible ministers was also discussed with V. Valkiūnas on the show. The Seimas member did not mention a single last name, but stated that, in his opinion, not all potential ministers have a completely intact past.

“So far, it is a trial period,” said V. Valkiūnas, but added that active people are needed in the Seimas advisory teams. “We need active people with life experiences who have accomplished something in life and are honest.”
