During a press conference, he explained that now he has no temperature, he no longer runs.
“I consulted with the doctors, I better not speak for three weeks. “I don’t use any academic medicine, I need more time to recover,” Uspaskich said.
The politician, who opted for self-isolation, said he had not been tested for the coronavirus.
„To configurea test must be done. I did not take the test. (…) And why do I have to? “Should I do a test every day or what?” Answered V. Uspaskich.
The politician does not answer questions about whether a person has been diagnosed with coronavirus in his immediate environment. He’s also reluctant to answer if he recently had another child.
“Ask them all the questions that concern third parties. (…) What it means in the immediate environment is that now several coronaviruses have also been detected in Kėdainiai. (…) You already know that V. Uspaskich has been in active politics for twenty years and never talks about personal or family matters and does not speak. Don’t bother, “said V. Uspaskich.
Ready to work in opposition
The leader of the Labor Party spoke about the fact that his party is willing to work in the opposition.
“The opportunities of the Labor Party to participate in office are questionable, due to the political situation. The posts do not interest us as parties. We already have a lot of experience: if you do not control the situation, it is not worth participating there. (…)
I doubt the possibility of reaching an agreement with the “peasants” or the Social Democrats, but we will certainly support the necessary and beneficial laws for Lithuania. (…) Conservatives will easily form a ruling majority of the three parties, and we will mainly support decisions on conservative families, commercial conditions, creation of economy, regional politics, we will offer our projects, ”said V. Uspaskich.
It failed during the first round of the elections to the Seimas
On the night of the first round of the Seimas elections, V. Uspaskich did not appear at the headquarters of the Labor Party. Party members said then that the politician had a cold, so they decided to stay home.
On October 12, V. Uspaskich participated in the press conference of the BNS news agency remotely; during the conversation, he coughed a lot.
V. Uspaskich had hinted on the 15min.lt news portal that he would do a coronavirus test, but then changed his mind.
