In her congratulations, she also praised I. Šimonytė’s efforts to form a government that maintains gender balance.

On Tuesday, the Seimas approved the candidacy of conservative MP Ingrida Šimonytė for the post of prime minister.
62 members of the Seimas voted in favor of his candidacy, ten against, 41 deputies abstained.
