People traveling on international routes, regular, special and charter services in all modes of transport must have a negative result in a COVID-19 test performed no earlier than 72 hours in advance. The test will be compulsory for all people from the age of 16 inclusive.

A new obligation has emerged for carriers to ensure that passengers report a negative COVID-19 result before boarding. The control of arrivals at airports and seaports will be faster, since control officers will have to verify less passenger data.

The exceptions for a negative COVID-19 test result apply to:
• crew and crew members carrying passengers on international routes in all modes of transport;
• people in transit through Lithuania;
• people who have relapsed COVID-19, when the diagnosis has been confirmed on the basis of a positive result of a PCR test or an antigen test and it has not been more than 90 days from the positive test result before returning or get to Lithuania;
• people who have been vaccinated, registered in the European Union Drug Registry under the vaccination scheme;
• people under 16 years of age.

The exception applies to those traveling in their own vehicle: an investigation will be possible upon arrival in Lithuania.
