With more than a month to go before the NBA season resumes in Orlando, the Indiana Pacers still don’t know if one of their leaders, Victor Oladipo, will be able to help the team.

According to ESPN, Oladipo will start training with the team starting next week and, after evaluating his condition, he will decide whether to participate in the final tournament of the season at the Walt Disney theme park.

The defender, who cut the tendon on the right path in January 2019, hopes to run on the parquet, but does not want to risk the possibility of injury again.

“I feel much better. I know there is a risk in such a unique situation. Without playing for a long time, you have to prepare for your return very quickly. I just have to be smart,” Oladipo told ESPN.

The Pacers club itself monitors Oladipo’s situation very closely and works closely with the player throughout the process. The players will have to make a decisive decision before Wednesday, since by then basketball players will have to announce whether they intend to go to Orlando.

All clubs must announce the final lineup by July 1. Admittedly, the Pacers can postpone this decision until July. All that is needed is for Oladipo to be included in the final team formation.

Oladipo had already returned to the field this season. During the 13 games played, the defender collected an average of 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3 assists.
