Late Friday night at Kaunas airport, SBGS officers captured a person behaving suspiciously at the entrances to the passenger lounge with video cameras. It turned out that the man sitting at the table drank his beer, which is strictly prohibited in the airport area.
When the border guards came to discipline the offender, he reacted aggressively, started cursing, did not wear a protective mask, and the detainee began to argue and resist. The man was immobilized by SBGS agents with physical force and handcuffed.
When he was taken to the official SBGS premises, it became clear that the detainee had resided in Kybartai for 20 years. He had come to the airport to meet someone else.
Border guards soon discovered that a Kybartian was avoiding compulsory military service in Lithuania. This recruit has been wanted by the Military Service and Staffing Service of the Lithuanian Armed Forces since June.
On Friday before midnight, border guards handed over the Kybartai resident to Kaunas police officers, who are investigating the incident.
The guy will have to be administratively responsible for various crimes: repeated use of alcohol in a public place, violation of public order, failure to comply with legal requirements, being without a mask, degrading the honor and dignity of an officer.
