[ad_1]

This year, after a long break, Nida airport resumed operations. It doesn’t charge any entrance fees yet, so glider, helicopter and light aircraft pilots can enter Nida completely free of charge. But it goes without saying that far from everyone you can use these kinds of tools. The ship “Raketa” also started sailing this year. Transport travelers from Kaunas to Nida. The one-way price starts from 51 euros. People also have the opportunity to travel in private boats from the villages of the Pomerania region, but they are mainly used by the guests of those villages. We will go over the possibilities of reaching Nida from the Lithuanian port city: Klaipeda.

Without a doubt, the cheapest way to get to Nida from Klaipeda is by bike. After moving to Smiltyne for 1 euro, there would be a 52 km long bike path to Nida. Understandably, this is not a suitable way to travel for everyone, and the fact that some sections of the bike path are in poor condition does not add to the excitement. However, the trail, separated from cars and built into the plains, allows you to enjoy the forests of the Curonian Spit.

Another inexpensive alternative is public transportation. For one person, a ferry transfer to Smiltyne costs 1 euro, and a bus from Smiltyne to Nida costs 4 euros. Probably the biggest novelty this season is the boat “Ben”. He returned the long awaited boat trips from Klaipeda.

One-way trip – 15 euros. however, swimming in Benu provides many other pleasant impressions that a car or bus trip will not provide. A modern ship can reach up to 40 km / h. fast, so the journey will always be fast and comfortable. However, perhaps the biggest advantage is the opportunity to observe the beautiful nature of the Curonian Spit and the famous Nida dunes. Here, the entrance to Dead Dunes costs 5 euros, and you can see them for free while sailing on this ship.

The Benas boat has capacity for 66 people. It is pet friendly and also has 25 bike spots so people can go to Nida by boat and bike back. Another advantage of Ben is the audio guide. During the trip, it will be possible not only to admire the spectacular views, but also to hear information about the Curonian Spit, the Independence ship and other interesting stories. The ship sails every day and there are two trips on weekends.

Automobiles have traditionally remained the most popular mode of travel. This year, the car fee to enter the Curonian Spit is up to 30 euros, and this amount is promised to increase in the future. Transferring a car by ferry still costs almost 13 euros.

Those who are wealthy or want a luxury trip with their company in Klaipeda are offered the opportunity to rent a boat, boat or yacht. An hour of navigation costs between 60 and 550 euros, depending on the size or type of boat.

The drive from Smiltyne to Nida takes between 40 and 50 minutes. The ferry to Smiltyne must be added, and on summer weekends we often have to wait in long lines. The ship “Benas” sails from Klaipeda to Nida in two hours, to Juodkrante – in one. Slower ships take even longer. Buses leave Smiltyne every hour and the journey takes a little over an hour.

Therefore, both the prices and the methods of travel to Nida, called the pearl of Lithuanian nature, are quite diverse, so everyone can choose based on their convenience, inexperienced impressions or travel speed.
