Travelers can test for coronavirus at airports

Such services will be provided to travelers by medical laboratory research company Rezus.lt, which won the tender, Lithuanian airports announced.

The paid tests will be carried out in temporary structures, which will be located next to the airport’s passenger terminals.

It is announced that the time of provision of test services will be adjusted to the existing flight schedule, test certificates will be issued not only in Lithuanian but also in other foreign languages.

Rezus.lt employees will provide testing services to all airport passengers as a priority when presenting the purchased flight ticket or boarding pass.

The report notes that currently, when traveling from Lithuania to most of the European Union (EU) or third countries, it is necessary to have at least 72 or 48 hours before. Confirmation of a negative result before arrival: In most cases, countries recognize not only PCR but also rapid antigen test certificates. Lithuania also requires a negative coronavirus test on arrival or immediately upon arrival.

The winning company will carry out at least three types of tests: PCR, rapid PCR and rapid antigen tests. It is envisioned that as opportunities in testing markets expand, the types of testing at airports may also expand.
