The city leaders together with the mansion administration, the contractors, the restorers, the author of the project Jurga Silvija Večerskytė in Šimeliūna and the technical supervisor today visited the territory of the administered palace. Now the third stage of the works has begun: basement maintenance work, restoration of real doors, windows, shutters and blinds, facade management, restoration work and restoration of moldings, laying of engineering networks, restoration of skylights. Last year, in the first stage of management of the manor house, care was taken to order the plinth of the palace, the basement windows were replaced and the foundations were waterproofed. Subsequently, the second stage was designed to order the field engineering networks, bring a new electrical outlet, ventilation shafts, electric generator, and water intake.
And in the spring of this year, 132 units were planted in Red Door Alley. July “Boehlje” small-leaf, in the main building – 47 units “Corzan”, in the alley of the chapel – 40 units. Low window A hedge consisting of more than 300 pieces of western thuja “Esmeralda” has also been planted. The hedge covers a not very picturesque area with greenhouses, hundreds of thorns, various flexible shrubs, stone, yew trees and others are planted on the territory of the mansion. “We wanted to bury the capsule in the foundations of the stairs of the main building, since this is the most significant stage of work carried out so far: the facades, doors, windows, basement and the interior of the main communication of the palace are maintained. We decided to mark the really very important stage of the whole reconstruction, especially the one that requires precision, especially since the municipality contributes significantly to the revival of the object, “said Ieva Šiušaitė, director of the Trakai Vokė manor house.
According to I.Šiušaitė, the biggest discovery during the reconstruction was the demolition of two layers of concrete, the discovery of authentic brick linings for the basement floor, the restoration of the height of the basement premises and the opening of openings in the it was soviet. Now, during the reconstruction of the mansion, the basement is gradually being turned into a spacious place for future exhibitions and events.
Other works of the third stage are being carried out, which are already visible to the naked eye: the facade of the palace recovers its original colors, is enriched, architectural details and wonderful decorative elements stand out (illusory windows, pilasters, capitals, decorative elements molded) on the mansion walls. The main stairs of the east and west facades of the sandstone are being restored, which in the future may become one of the most photogenic places on the territory of the mansion. The doors are also being restored, gradually recovering their original colors, from dark brown in the facade to imitation wood, blue, yellow in the interiors.
