What does the Seimas want?

Kauno Diena asked if it was easy for Kaunas residents to choose why to vote on Sunday. Citizens also expressed their opinion on what the Seimas would like.

Opinions differed: some like the current rulers, others want changes, but only on Monday will it be clear which political forces have most attracted the electorate and will rule the country for the next four years.

Some voters who spoke said they had known for a long time why they were going to vote, others indicated that their candidate for the second round had failed, so they now had to choose between what was left but did not necessarily meet their expectations. However, most of the citizens interviewed were of the opinion that the new Seimas should pay more attention to ordinary people.

Two evils, you had to choose the smallest.

“There were doubts about why to vote, because one is young, the other is older. Both seem appropriate. Anyway, I chose experience and stability. The Seimas should be renewed and I think there will be a lot of young people in it. The basic values of the people remain the same, so you have to preserve them and let new things happen, maybe they are worth it, ”said Gintautas, who cast his vote at the J. Urbšis school.

“It was really easy to decide. The Seimas must take care of our state and our people, first of all think not of ourselves, but of us, and bark less. Then it will definitely be better, ”said Rita, who cast her vote in the Radvilėnai area.

Better bad

Several other voters who came to vote admitted that they had decided only at the last minute. They indicated that they had read about the candidates in the venue and voted for that policy.

“I’m not too interested in politics because I’m disappointed so I have to pick a better evil, but the choice is definitely not what I really want, I’m just voting for what’s left. I knew which party I didn’t want to vote for, so I just there was one option left. Of course, I came to vote, because I never let my voice go with the wind, “said Emma.

“Both candidates are not the ones I voted for in the first round. To me, both candidates don’t seem credible. Two evils, I had to choose a smaller one,” said another Kaunas resident.
