Valdemaras Tomaševskis remains the leader of the Polish Lithuanian electoral campaign belonging to the Seimas rulers: the Union of Christian Families.

At the congress of this political force held in Vilnius on Friday, V. Tomaševskis was elected president for a new term, the party announced.
In a secret vote, 134 delegates voted for V. Tomaševskis, one against and the other abstaining.
Congress supported V. Tomaševskis’ proposal to increase the number of vice presidents from five to eight. Parliamentarians Vanda Kravčionok and Zbignevas Jedinskis, the mayor of the Vilnius district, Marija Rekst, the mayor of the Šalčininkai district, Zdzislavas Palevičius, remained the vice-presidents, and the ministers of Transport, Jaroslav Narkevičius and the Minister of the Interior, Rita Tamaš and the vice chancellor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Valmara Urbano.
V. Tomaševskis is working in the European Parliament for the third term.
The Lithuanian Parliament has eight members of the Polish Lithuanian Election Campaign, the Union of Christian Families, and has 56 council members in various municipalities.
