An eight-month pregnant woman fell in the Maldives while she and her husband were resting at the Intercontinental Resort on Mamunagau Island.
The woman is reported to have disappeared on February 13, a day after the couple stayed at the hotel. The man explains that at first they both rested by the hotel pool, and then G. Vaškytė decided to go to the beach alone and disappeared.
After a five-day search, the local police concluded that the Lithuanian woman had probably drowned, but family members disagreed with the account and the man thought she had been abducted. “That is why we announced a $ 100,000 reward for information on her whereabouts or for helping her find her,” said Uday Singh, who introduced himself as a relative.
