Restricted movement
By government resolution of 2020. December 24, 24 h. until 2021 January 3, 24 hours The exit of people outside the territory of the municipality of their place of residence is restricted, except in cases where the death is due to the death of close relatives or to carry out work when the place of employment is in another municipality, or for necessary medical assistance. Movement restrictions will not be applied in the case of trips to / from the airport, for objectively justified overriding reasons, when the trip to a municipality other than the one in which you reside is unavoidable.
The police announce that they will organize stationary checkpoints at the entrances of all municipal centers in the country, where vehicles entering the cities will be controlled. Part of the accesses will be blocked by technical means, surveillance cameras will be installed or prohibition posters will be built. At least two officers will work at each post, and high-traffic posts will use police officers, shooters, etc.
The blocking posts at the city entrances will be installed from December 18. 1 pm until December 20. 9 pm, from December 23. 1 pm to 27 d. 9 pm and from December 31st. 1 pm until January 3. 9 pm
670 police teams will be on duty next weekend, and another 250 teams will be on duty at checkpoints, so 920 teams will be patrolling all over Lithuania over the weekend. On ordinary days, not holidays, 750 crews will be on duty. An additional 60 police teams will work to control movement between municipalities, who will verify the legality of the movement.
As of Wednesday, it is also forbidden to move inside or outside the municipality of residence for unnecessary reasons. It is prohibited to leave the place of residence, except when going to work, a place of commerce, a funeral, a property owned by the owner, for medical care and other necessary services or for objectively justified reasons, when the trip is absolutely necessary. It will also be possible to leave the place of residence when not more than one family and / or one member of the household goes for a walk in the open air.
Close contact between more than one family or household is also prohibited, except in urgent cases where it is necessary to provide assistance to the sick or unable to care for themselves.
Only pharmacies, food, veterinary, optical and orthopedic stores are allowed.
The government also closes all stores that do not provide food, veterinary, pharmacy, optical items and orthopedic technical equipment. Stores, including those in shopping or entertainment centers, markets and other non-prohibited public outlets, must have a sales area of 15 square meters per visitor.
During quarantine, public events and gatherings are prohibited, and people over the age of 6 must wear protective gear that covers their nose and mouth in public places.
The activities of educational institutions are carried out remotely, except for kindergartens.
Activities of educational institutions are organized only remotely, visits to inpatient social service institutions are prohibited. Day and employment centers for children, people with disabilities and the elderly are also prohibited. However, parents who cannot work remotely will still be able to send their children to kindergarten.
Beauty services
It is also prohibited to provide beauty and other services during the quarantine that require more than 15 minutes of contact between the service provider and the recipient of the service. This prohibition does not apply to medical rehabilitation services, psychological assistance and psychotherapy services, financial services that cannot be provided remotely.
The quarantine in the country was extended until January 31.
