Three prostitution organizers were arrested in Klaipeda: they hired Ukrainians to provide services

The pre-trial investigation was launched after receiving data on the fact that a 30-year-old Klaipėda resident who had previously worked in two companies in the port city organized and profited from the prostitution of girls / women. Ads for paid sex services were found to be posted on one of the online advertising portals.

In mid-November, agents found four Ukrainian citizens (25, 30, 37, and 40) providing paid sexual services to men in three apartments in the port city. During the raids, facilities for sexual services were found at said premises.

While continuing the operation on the same day, police officers arrested the organizer of prostitution in Klaipėda, Liepų Street. Suspected doping substances were found during searches of the man’s residence and car.

It is suspected that this Klaip sospeda resident found girls / women who could provide sexual services, selected and rented temporary residences for them, provided them with the means to perform sexual services and placed advertisements about paid sexual services.

It is also suspected that the latter was assisted by 30 m. and 35 m. accomplices of the century who coordinated the activities of prostitutes, communicated with clients, directed clients to certain addresses. These women living in Klaipėda have not been convicted before, one of them works in an individual company.

According to available data, the perpetrators organized and benefited from at least four prostitution of girls / women providing sexual services in three rented apartments in Klaipeda. 50 percent of the salary went to the collectors, most of them to the organizer.

The three suspects were arrested and placed in preventive detention, and were subsequently placed in preventive detention: a written commitment not to leave, the seizure of documents and the obligation to periodically register with the police.

The pre-trial investigation is organized and led by the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division (ONKTS) of the Klaipėda Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

There is a fine or restriction of liberty, or arrest or prison of up to 4 years for having the proceeds of prostitution or forfeiture of another person.

Organizing or directing prostitution is punishable by up to 6 years in prison.
